Food Forest Workshop
COME LEARN ABOUT:
- What are food forests?
- Basic principles in ecological design (permaculture)
- What food forests can provide: food, medicine, craft materials, fuel, habitat, soil-building, nitrogen-fixation and more
- Examples of useful plants in cold climates
- How to plant an understory around existing fruit trees (hands-on demonstration)

The workshop will be held on October 1, 2016 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Twin Forks Park, 1475 Gary Avenue in Sudbury.
About the workshop presenter: Bonita ford, m.a., b.sc. Bonita aims to inspire people, giving them tools for healthier living. She teaches Permaculture, reiki and nonviolent communication, and has led workshops Around the world for over 13 years. She facilitates community design projects and Does design coaching with individualsand small businesses. In 2016, Bonita led three sessions at the Canadian master gardener conference; she also co-Presented at conferences at Harvard and Trent university. Bonita and her partner Sébastien Grow most of their ownfood and are active in their local community. www.livinghearth.net
