Join the Sudbury Community Garden Network on October 1 at the Downtown Market on Elgin Street for the judging of the Giant Sunflower Contest!

Sudbury’s Community Garden Network invites all Sudbury residents who have grown their Russian Mammoth Sunflowers and their admirers to come to the judging event.

The event is going to be held on Saturday October 1st, 2016 at the Downtown Market (CP/VIA Rail Station on Elgin Street) from 11 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. The winners are expected to be announced at 1 P.M. The event is free to attend. At this event the biggest sunflower head and the tallest sunflower grower’s will get a prize. The children’s prizes are donated by Topper’s Pizza.

This event is the first for Sudbury to create awareness for the great network of gardeners that exist in this city and the community gardens that are on offer. We hope to increase our reach and create a larger network of gardeners for resource and information sharing.
