Configuration

• Two 3 ft. x 9 ft. above ground galvanized steel containers purchased from Sproutbox Gardens

Gardening - techniques used

• organic gardening: we use triple mix, mulch, perlite, Meeker's mix, manure, peat moss

Produce and Plants

This first year we started small and are growing beans, beets, onions, celery, tomatoes, zucchini, and pumpkins.
In 2027 we plan to add two additional garden containers and start a perennial garden with vegetables and flowers.

Partners

This garden is a project of the South End CAN in partnership with LoEllen Park Secondary School. Students in Environmental Science and other classes will work with our volunteers to expand the gardens in 2027.
